I began piano instruction at age five with my mother and studied formally with several different teachers throughout elementary school, with Constance Twomley as my high school piano teacher at Shenandoah Valley Academy, New Market, VA. In college I studied piano with Florence Clarembeau and organ with Dr. Van Knauss and received a Batchelor of Science in Mathematics and a Minor in Music from Columbia Union College, Takoma Park, MD
Throughout my life I have had a career as a church organist on both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Currently I am organist/pianist and choral accompanist for St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Sykesville, Maryland, as well as organist at Ward's Chapel United Methodist Church, Randallstown, MD for the first service. I am also the rehearsal accompanist for the Fairhaven Chorale in Sykesville, MD and sing in the Encore Singers, Brookeville, MD.
My wife Rose is a piano teacher and choral director and together we have two grown daughters and a son-in-law.
